The Monastery has a small but varied shop, stocking the monastery’s products and other items. Home made products include a range of hand-made scented soaps, and wax melts; candles, some of which are hand painted; wooden items decorated with pyrography designs; small plaques painted in traditional egg tempera; home knits and a Toy Cupboard of soft toys. Personalised candles and pyrography can also be ordered.
Commissions are taken for calligraphy, pyrography, cards, and personalised candles.
We have a range of Crucifixes, Rosaries and other devotional items, including some bought directly from the Holy Land as a way of supporting the Christian presence there.
The shop stocks good Catholic books, from spirituality to Missals, including books written by members of the community. We have a reasonably priced second hand book section which also serves as a book exchange, so you are welcome to bring old books along. On this shelf we make rosaries available which have been refurbished by the sisters, and we offer to mend old rosaries for free.
Greetings cards from our Printery are available in the shop, and more can be ordered (including memorial cards for all occasions). Our Abbey Scribes are happy to take Calligraphy commissions.
Altar Breads, Cards, our own CDs, and Books written by the nuns, can be ordered by email or by post. Apart from these, we do not sell shop items through the post.
