The Read More page now has a brief section from the Introduction to a study of St. John’s Gospel, entitled The Passion of the Image. The section Imaging the Depths, places the study of John’s Gospel in the context of prayer and contemplation and has some helpful suggestions for this.

The History of Gregorian Chant by our Choir Mistress is serialised and has been paused pro temp in 2024. Part One gave an overview of the History of Gregorian Chant with specific reference to its Jewish roots. There is a reading list at the end of each article.  The second instalment covered the Eastern connections of the Chant.  The third instalment in the series addresses the Growth of the Western Rites from the 4th to the 8th Centuries.  This series precedes the series on the Method of Solesmes.
